GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

For best results, sow seeds outdoors in Summer, seeds should germinate the following Spring. Sow in containers, well-draining soil, mulched and in partial shade. If starting indoors...

SEED PRETREATMENT: Soak seeds in water for 24-48 hours, replace water after 24 hours. Mix seeds with a moistened grow medium equal to 4x seed volume. Place in a plastic bag, covered tray/cells or container. 

STRATIFICATION: Start 60 days warm/moist (20°C), the top of your fridge is a good spot for this. Check for mold. Next, 120 days cold/moist (5°C), in your fridge is a good spot for this.

POST-STRATIFICATION: Sow stratified seeds 1/4” deep. Alternate soil temperatures during the day (27°C) and night (15°C). Water evenly and regularly. 

GERMINATION: Generally occurs in 30-90 days, but may continue to germinate sporadically over the next 2 years.
